The United States strongly condemns the use of migrants for political purposes and the soulless and inhumane actions at the border, State Department spokesman Ned Price announced. This is a strong voice of support for Poland from allies across the ocean.
“We call on the regime to immediately halt its campaign of organizing and forcing irregular migrants across its borders into Europe,” Price said during a Monday press conference.
“As long as the regime and Belarus refuses to respect its international obligations and commitments, undermines the peace and security of Europe and continues to repress and abuse people seeking nothing more than to live in freedom, we will continue to pressure Lukashenko and will not lessen our calls for accountability,” he added.
On Monday morning, the media provided information about a large group of migrants planning to cross the border between Belarus and Poland. The migrants are located near the Kuźnica border crossing. According to the latest information, they are trying to enter Poland by force.
