“One must expect that the next attack will be infantry and tanks. This will be the second round, and it will probably be the most dangerous, it could cause the biggest losses on the Ukrainian side,” former Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz highlighted today on the TV Republika.
Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine on Thursday morning. On the first day of the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, 57 Ukrainians died and 169 were injured, said Ukrainian Health Minister Viktor Laschko. He assured that the country’s health system was functioning in a stable manner.
Antoni Macierewicz summed up the current situation in connection with the invasion of Ukraine on television.
“We have very limited information on how the Russian aggression is going, how the individual troops are proceeding and what the Russians have achieved and what they have not. We know that a very important airfield near Kyiv has been recaptured, but the whole situation is unknown to us. Apart from the fact that the first attack we’re dealing with is an airstrike and a missile one. The next attack might be infantry and tanks. It will be the second round, and it will probably be the most dangerous, it could cause the biggest losses on the Ukrainian side,” the former Minister of Defense said in a conversation with editor Katarzyna Gójska.
As Macierewicz pointed out, “the Intermarium is a safe area.”
“Military defence is safe here. The West, and in particular the United States, are ready to get involved,” he stressed.
