Hacker attack: The Russians have lost control of their own spy satellites

Ukrinform Agency reported that the control centre of the Russian space agency Roskosmos lost control of its own spy satellites due to a hacking attack by a group affiliated with Anonymous.

“The NB65 hacker group affiliated with Anonymous has shut down the control centre of the Russian space agency Roskosmos. Russia no longer has control over its own spy satellites,” written on the channel Telegram of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On the day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Thursday, February 24, Anonymous announced on Twitter that they are declaring cyber warfare on the attacker.

Since then, thanks to the activities of an anonymous group of hackers, it has been impossible to access many Russian websites. So far, the collective has led, among other things, to a data leak from the Russian Ministry of Defense or to the seizure of Russian military communication systems.
