Robert Lewandowski ends his collaboration with Huawei, which, according to British media, supports Russia. The information was confirmed by Tomasz Zawiślak, manager of the football player.
The British “Daily Mail” reported that the Chinese company is helping Russia to stabilize the network after the cyber-attacks resulting from Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Russian websites are being attacked by hackers belonging to the Anonymous group.
Huawei has already made a statement. He denies the “Daily Mail” reports. “Huawei reports that the publication of the Daily Mail about the company is fake news. The information it contains is false”, it says.
But Robert Lewandowski was unable to be convinced. The captain of the Polish national team, one of the faces of the Chinese brand, decided to terminate the advertising contract. The new agreement, which was signed in January 2022, should be valid for three years. According to our information, it would guarantee a football player up to EUR 5 million.
“I want to inform you that we have decided today to end the marketing collaboration between Robert Lewandowski and Huawei. This stopped the realization of all advertising services on our part,” Lewandowski’s manager, Tomasz Zawiślak, informs in a short announcement.
