French news agency shares Russian narrative

“A French news agency publishes material that coincides with Russia’s propaganda narrative against Poland,” Stanisław Żaryn, the Spokesperson of the Minister-Special Services Coordinator, informs.

It is not the first time French media departed from the truth concerning Poland. Lately, we wrote about how French media “forgot” about Poland when they wrote about supporting Ukraine.

DID THE FRENCH OVERLOOK POLAND’S HELP? AGAIN?

Today (March 25), the Spokesperson of the Minister-Special Services Coordinator Stanisław Żaryn found out that the French news agency had published material that coincided with Russia’s propaganda narrative against Poland.

“The material suggests that Poles are afraid of the Redzikowo military base. It is suggested that military cooperation between Poland and the USA is dangerous for Poles,” Żaryn writes.

What is more, the published material quotes people who are convinced that Poland may be threatened by Russian retaliation, because of, above mentioned, military cooperation with the USA. The narrative of Russian propaganda erroneously suggests that Poles fear the US military infrastructure.

As we wrote a few days ago, Russian media, politicians and public institutions, including Russian embassies around the world spread propaganda against Poland.

    “RUSSIA INFECTS WORLD WITH LIES”

The suggestions spread by the French news agency insult Poland, because they are aimed at weakening the level of security on NATO’s eastern flank.

“The propaganda message stoking fear of a Russian response has the hallmarks of blackmail to put pressure on the Polish and NATO authorities to withdraw allied military support for Poland. Such actions were intensified during Russia’s war against UA,” Żaryn concluded.
