Iga Świątek reached the 1/8 final of the WTA tennis tournament in Miami and won the 13th game in a row. In the third round in Florida, the Pole, who will soon lead the world rankings, defeated Madison Brengle 6:0, 6:3. Iga’s next rival will be another American – Cori Gauff.
The 20-year-old Iga Świątek is undefeated. She recently won a tournament at Indian Wells, and now she’s safe on her way to another prestigious event. In the second round, she defeated the Swiss Viktorija Golubic 6:2, 6:0.
Iga also passed the third round of the hardcourt tournament in Miami without much difficulty. Their duel with Brengle, currently 59th on the WTA list, lasted only one hour and five minutes.
? I’m glad of today’s win. Now it’s time for some rest… Surprisingly little time for recovery, it is gonna be quite challenging for me and my team but… see you tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/DVT0wf30Cj

Świątek will officially lead the world ranking as the first Polish woman in history on April 4th. She replaces Australian Ashleigh Barty, who ended her career a few days ago – at the age of just 25 – and asked to be removed from the WTA list.
