The Tauron Arena in Cracow is the biggest venue in Poland, with an overall capacity of 22,000 people. This weekend it will host two festivals organised by “Smaczny Targ” (Eng. Fair of Taste): the Asian Festival with street food from different parts of Asia, and the Festival of Beer, Wine and Cider. Both will be open from 12 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Saturday (April 2nd) and 12-6 P.M. on Sunday (April 3rd).
Smaczny Targ is a body that organises a variety of food festivals throughout the whole of Poland every week. They promote all kinds of foods and drinks – a week before the event was dedicated to tea, coffee and chocolate. This weekend, the focus is on Asian street food: sushi, traditional Georgian khachapuri, curry, pho soup and Hindi pakora. Besides dishes, there will also be natural beauty products from Asia. The entry is free.
Simultaneously the Beer, Wine and Cider Festival will take place, where the vendees will display their products and taste samples, and a specialist will talk about the methods of brewing beer, choosing proper wine for different occasions and sharing their passion for alcoholic beverages.
