Hurkacz and Isner won the Men’s Doubles Champions in Miami!

Hubert Hurkacz and John Isner of the United States triumphed in the ATP Masters 1000 doubles on the tennis court in Miami. In Saturday’s final, they defeated the Dutch-British pair Wesley Koolhof, Neal Skupski 7:6 (7-5), 6:4.

The almost 37-year-old Isner and the 25-year-old Pole have teamed up in the doubles for the third time. Previously, they had lost the first meeting in Montreal in 2019 and the second in Cincinnati in 2020. They ran like a storm in Miami. On the way to the final, they eliminated three doubles who had a major title.

Although the match was balanced, the superiority of Hurkacz and Isner became apparent in the decisive moments. In the first set, the tiebreak decided the win, in the second set they broke the rivals in the final, tenth game.

Hurkacz had previously won two ATP doubles tournaments in 2020 at the Bercy Hall in Paris, when his partner was Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime and last season in Metz together with Jan Zieliński. Isner was happy about the eighth title in the doubles.

John Isner, Hubert Hurkacz (USA, Poland) – Wesley Koolhof, Neal Skupski (Netherlands, Great Britain) 7:6 (7-5), 6:4.
