Poland and the US will work towards making the Polish army one of the best in Europe, the Pentagon said on Wednesday after talks between the Polish and US defence ministers.
Commenting on the talks between Mariusz Blaszczak and Lloyd Austin, the Pentagon wrote in a statement that the two had agreed that both countries should pool their forces to make the Polish army one of the most advanced on the European continent.
Blaszczak and Austin also discussed military aid for Ukraine in its defensive war against Russia, while Austin also praised Poland for taking in 2.5 million Ukrainian war refugees, the Pentagon wrote.
