The Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa took part today in the World Economic Forum in Davos, where the topic of building a nuclear power plant in Poland was raised.
Anna Moskwa participated in a panel discussion on the role of nuclear energy with the participation of the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, during which she spoke about plans to build a nuclear power plant in Poland. The question of its importance in the global energy transition was also raised.
“The outlook on nuclear energy is changing in many countries. Due to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, more and more countries consider atomic energy as a key element of their energy security strategy,” Moskwa said.

“For the first time in the history of Poland, we have very advanced activities regarding nuclear energy. The works related to the construction of the first Polish nuclear power plant are proceeding according to schedule. In 2026 we will start the construction,” the Minister said.
