    PKN Orlen drives the Polish economy

    The company, present on 6 continents, strengthens Poland’s position as a significant player on the global market. Orlen has been continuously recognized as the most valuable brand in Poland for years. Its value is estimated at PLN 4.7 billion.

    Orlen is the only company in the region that has already received the prestigious title of The Most Ethical Company for the sixth time in a row, awarded by the American Ethisphere Institute. Orlen became the owner of the Czech Unipetrol last year and has recently revealed plans to build a retail network in Slovakia. The Polish company also expanded its cooperation with the Lithuanian Railways, which yielded an increase in the efficiency of Możejki’s refinery operations. Scope expanding of activity in neighboring markets yielded an increasingly better position for Poland as a significant player on the European fuel and energy market. PKN Orlen also has a significant impact on the energy security of our country. Thanks to the long-term strategy for diversifying oil supplies, currently over 50% the raw material that goes to the Płock refinery, comes from directions other than eastern – including from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the USA or Africa. Independence from supplies from one direction is one of the company’s priorities, because it guarantees greater stability, even in crisis situations.
