The Poles were in full control of the match. Australia was quite an easy opponent. The Polish national men’s team plays wonderfully. So far, the Poles have lost only one match with Italy in Ottawa.
Grbic’s players opened both the first and the second set very well. After a successful attack from the middle by Bieńek, as in the first set, it was 8:4. Australians quite unexpectedly reduced the gap to two points. But they weren’t able to win the first or second set.
The third set had a similar course to the previous two. Again, the Poles quickly built up a few-point lead and went into the technical break at 12:8. As time went by, the Australians started making more and more mistakes. In the end, the Polish team won with 25:14 and Tomasz Fornal finished the match with an attack.
