This weekend (8-10 July), Krakow will become a huge theatre stage. On Market Square and in several other spaces in the city, artists from the furthest corners of the world (this year, among others, from Africa) will appear to present their performances – entertaining and moving the audience. Ahead of us is the 35th ULICA Festival organised by the KTO Theatre.
This year’s jubilee edition of the ULICA Festival will feature more than 80 presentations of spectacular outdoor shows, theatrical performances, acrobatic and circus shows, clowning and happenings.
The performances will be free, but the ones taking place in the Archaeological Museum and the courtyard at Zamoyskiego 23 Street will require free entrance tickets – to be collected at the information point of the 35th ULICA Festival (Main Square) from 8 July this year.
During the Festival, there will be no shortage of astonishing shows by groups from all over the world. AFUMA, i.e., artists from Africa, will perform in a magic show on over 5-metre-high stilts. The Italian acrobat, circus performer and mime Agro the Clown, who has performed for years in the squares of major European cities and at international street festivals, will come to Krakow in July to entertain the city’s residents and tourists with his unusual show.
There are many more attractions that await the citizens and tourists this weekend. Read more on the official website of the Festival.
