30 foreigners tried to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border yesterday. The information was provided by the Border Guard on Thursday morning. A large group of migrants had crossed the shallows on the Svisloch River.
On Twitter, the Polish Border Guard reported that all persons had been detained.
Among other things, the Border Guard informed about a large group of 21 men, citizens of Yemen, Egypt and Syria, who crossed to the Polish side through the shallows on the Svisloch River.
“The foreigners came to Belarus from Russia,” reported the Border Guard.

Construction of the dam to end soon
The construction of the steel dam on the border is expected to be completed by mid-July. Electronic security, i.e., a system of cameras and detectors, is also expected to be ready by autumn.
At the end of June, the regulations on the temporary ban on entering 183 villages on the border with Belarus in the Podlaskie and Lubelskie voivodeships ceased to be in force; they were introduced in connection with the migration crisis, then also explained by the need to ensure order and security in connection with the construction of the engineering dam. They came into force on 2 March as an extension of the previous one, which was in force from 1 December 2021 to 1 March 2022.
From 1 July to 15 September, a ban – issued by the provincial governor – on approaching the Polish-Belarusian border at a distance of 200 metres is in force in Podlaskie. Such a ban was requested by the commanding officer of the Podlaskie Branch of the Border Guard; the ban is in force in the entire Podlaskie Voivodeship, except for sections of the state border running on border rivers.
