On Saturday in Krakow, Iga Świątek played with her friends to raise funds for children affected by the war in Ukraine. In the Tauron Arena Krakow, Iga played a match against Agnieszka Radwańska, but there were more famous tennis players on the court, and the special guest was Andriy Shevchenko.
For Iga Świątek, the performance in Krakow is her return to the courts after a short holiday. The Pole has already played 50 matches this season, 46 of which she has won. The 21-year-old tennis player has already won six tournaments since the beginning of the year, including the Grand Slam French Open in Paris.
Agnieszka Radwańska, together with Ukrainian tennis player Serhiy Stakhovsky, played a mixed doubles match against Iga and promising Polish junior Martyn Pawelski. The main was a single-set match played between two of Poland’s top tennis players, Iga Świątek and Agnieszka Radwańska.
The event started with a mixed doubles match. Iga Świątek played in a duet with 17-year-old Pole Martyn Pawelski and Agnieszka Radwańska with Ukrainian Sergey Stakhovsky.
The main point of the programme was a one-set match between two of Poland’s best tennis players, Iga Świątek and Agnieszka Radwańska. Agnieszka Radwańska defeated the leader of the world tennis ranking in one set 6:4.
All matches were refereed by the best Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina.
