The first match of LaLiga in this season was played on Saturday at Camp Nou, Spain. A a goalless draw between FC Barcelona and Rayo Vallecano de Madrid disappointed fans. Robert Lewandowski had no luck on his debut. Xavi: “We need to improve our effectiveness and must better understand how to create chances.”
Robert Lewandowski scored a goal in the 12th minute but the referee almost immediately made the right decision and blown a whistle for the offside position.
Chances there were aplenty. But they just would not end up in the net. And the two times they did, first for Robert Lewandowski in the first half and then for fellow debutant Franck Kessie in the second, the flag was up for offside.
