The Memorial of Hubert Jerzy Wagner, the world’s best volleyball tournament, will be held for the 19th time. This year for its participants, including the Polish national team, it will be the last test before the World Championships.
The Memorial is played in Krakow’s Tauron Arena, for the seventh time, and the sixth time in a row. Poland’s rivals are Iran, Serbia and Argentina, participants in the volleyball World Cup, which will begin on August 26 in Katowice.
“This is our last test before the World Championships. The opponents are strong. We will have a foretaste of the atmosphere that will be at the World Championships. We are counting on great cheering and a full hall. I can’t wait for the championship,” Mateusz Bieniek says.
Poland will face Iran in the first game of the Memorial.
