Sofia Ennaoui won a bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships in the 1500-meter run. The Pole achieved a time of 4:03.59 on the treadmill in Munich.
The favourite of the 1500-meter run was Laura Muir. The British woman boasted before the final of the European Championships in Munich of the best result in the world this season. However, we all hoped that Sofia Ennaoui would win a medal.
Ennaoui started cautiously. Muir, on the other hand, imposed the pace from the beginning, and 500 meters before the finish line she began a long finish. She was bravely held up by Ciara Mageean. The Pole was left too far behind, and although she ran as hard as she could, she remained in the third position.
Bronze medalist in the 1500 meters Sofia Ennaoui for TVP:
“After so many ups and downs…I’m happy. This medal is like gold for me. I recently had a cold, and this start was questionable. If my health is good, I will be able to compete with the top.”
