UK Foreign Minister Liz Truss has been elected the new leader of the ruling Conservative Party and will replace Boris Johnson as Prime Minister tomorrow. Truss will be the third – after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May – female head of the British government. Tomorrow, Truss will travel to Scotland to meet Queen Elizabeth who, in accordance with constitutional practice, will ask her to form a government.
