    Charles III takes part in escorting the coffin containing Elizabeth II's body to Edinburgh Cathedral [VIDEO]

    The new king of Great Britain, Charles the III, addressing – for the first time in this role – members of both houses of the British Parliament, assured that following in the footsteps of his mother, Elizabeth II, he would preserve and support constitutional order. In the afternoon, the monarch travelled to Edinburgh, where he took part in escorting the coffin containing Elizabeth II’s body from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to Edinburgh Cathedral.


    Members of the British Parliament gathered at the Palace of Westminster and expressed their condolences and an oath of loyalty to King Charles III. The new monarch emphasized in his speech that, following in his mother’s footsteps, he would maintain and support the constitutional order.
