“The unelected European authorities tried to steal the elections in Romania, but the Romanian people stood against it — stood for freedom, just as you once stood against communism,” declared Romanian presidential candidate George Simion during a rally in Zabrze, Poland. On Tuesday, the Romanian politician expressed his support for Karol Nawrocki.
Simion emphasized that in Romania, “we respect all the fighters who resisted communism,” citing Poland’s Solidarity movement and Pope John Paul II as examples.
“Now is the time — we must fight for freedom once again. Freedom for our rights, for our Christian families, and for our nations. We fight for freedom together, and together we want to decide our own fate. We do not want others to decide for us,” he proclaimed.
He went on to say, “Across Europe, nations are waking up. We will not let the neo-Marxists win. The Green Deal is a new form of communism,” adding that Europe must resist illegal migration and anti-American policies.
“Donald Trump is not just a person — he is a symbol of freedom and the fight for liberty. This Sunday, elections are taking place in both Poland and Romania. The most powerful man in the world, Donald Trump, supports Karol Nawrocki,” Simion noted.
He also announced that he had paused his own campaign because “even if I win on Sunday, that won’t be enough.”
“We need friends, we need brothers. You are our brothers,” he told the Polish crowd.
“We need respect for miners in Romania and Poland. We need respect for farmers in Romania and Poland. I promise that as the new president of Romania, I will come every day to support Karol Nawrocki, because he must become the next president of Poland,” Simion pledged.
He concluded with a historical invocation: “We have heroes in our past who understood what our future should be — one of them was Marshal Piłsudski. For our heroes, for our countries, for God — we will win. Karol Nawrocki for President!”
