The #sadziMY campaign is organized on the initiative of President Andrzej Duda and the State Forests National Forest Holding. Yesterday, the foresters started to distribute free seedlings all over Poland. The State Forests prepared 1,000,000 seedlings for this year’s edition of #sadziMY to be distributed within two days. President Andrzej Duda: “Each planted seedling is a part of the fight against climate change. One million seedlings are to be distributed to all those who want to download and plant them. I encourage you to lend a hand in planting forests and trees in Poland.”
Yesterday, the 4th edition of the nationwide tree planting campaign entlitle #sadziMY took place in the Lipnica Wielka Forest District (Stary Sącz Forest District). The president was accompanied by Piotr Ćwik, Deputy Head of the KPRP, as well as president advisers Paweł Sałek and Piotr Serafin.

Andrzej Duda thanked Józef Kubica, the General Director of State Forests, for organizing the campaign of distributing seedlings once again in all forest districts in Poland. As he noted, seedlings are available for collection this weekend in 429 forest districts in Poland. “One million seedlings are to be distributed to all those who want to download and plant them. I encourage you to lend a hand to planting forests and trees in Poland” – appealed the president, stressing that it was “a small step towards climate protection”.
“I would like to thank you that we can meet again from the place where the forest is planted, but above all that we can demonstrate with our presence, and at the same time encourage people to respect the forest, nature and behave in an ecological manner. ..) but most of all that we can teach respect for nature and for the forest “- said the president to the participants of the action in the Lipnica Wielka Forest District (Stary Sącz Forest District).
The #sadziMY campaign was inaugurated in 2019 by President Duda in response to the destruction caused by the 100-year hurricane that occurred in Poland in 2017. The hurricane was the greatest such disaster in the 95-year history of the State Forests. On the night of August 11-12, 2017, storms broke and overturned millions of trees in an area of approx. 70 thousand. ha in a strip from Lower Silesia through Greater Poland, Kujawy to Kashubia.
