Participation in the program means that Polish pilots would be trained by the Americans in how to deliver nuclear weapons. For this purpose, however, Polish planes would need to be properly equipped and a military base with appropriate infrastructure should be created in Poland.
“It is possible in the coming years, but it should be played dynamically in order to make the process of joining the alliance efficient,” Tomasz Sakiewicz, editor-in-chief of ‘Gazeta Polska’ and TV Republika, said.
For Poland, joining the agreement would be a great honour, out of 30 NATO members, only 5 are currently among the countries that benefit from the program. Italy, Turkey, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands are currently using NATO’s tactical weapons sharing program.
