Territorial Defence Forces (TDF) in Poland have taken delivery of another batch of US-made Javelin anti-tank missiles, the defence minister has said.
A man-portable weapons system, the FGM-148 Javelin has won fame in Ukraine due to its ability to destroy Russian main battle tanks.
“Further brigades of @terytorialsi (territorial defence, Polish abbrev. ‘WOT’ – ed.) have received anti-tank guided missiles #Javelin,” Mariusz Blaszczak wrote on Twitter on Tuesday. “It is a significant improvement of combat potential for the Polish Armed Forces.”

In Poland, the Javelins have become part of the territorial defence weaponry. The first units were trained in their use in June 2021.
