Poland has been advocating at the EU forum for support for the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, both from the EU and its member states, a diplomatic source has told PAP.
According to the source, Poland has handed all EU member states technical details of the urgently needed equipment that it received from Ukraine.
“We’re also raising the issue of funding by the EU the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure that Russia has destroyed,” the source said.
Ukraine needs equipment used for urgent repairs and rebuilding of its power grid as well as heat and power plants, but Poland has also been advocating for increased supplies of coal and other fuels to its neighbour.
