Wroclaw city budget for 2025 includes a significant allocation of 7 million PLN for the renovation and restoration of historic monuments. The funds, available for conservation and building works, can cover up to 70% of the expenses. After a two-year hiatus, this grant program will support efforts to preserve the city’s architectural heritage.
To qualify for the grant, applicants must demonstrate a poor technical condition of the building, along with its historical significance. Preference will be given to buildings within continuous urban blocks, although stand-alone multi-family buildings are also eligible. Only entities with legal rights to the property, such as ownership or perpetual usufruct, can apply.
In recent years, the city’s grant program has enabled the restoration of several architectural gems. Notable projects include the renovation of the Mezonetowiec on Kołłątaja Street and various late 19th-early 20th-century tenement houses, such as those on Kościuszki, Krasińskiego, and Kniaziewicza Streets.
