President Andrzej Duda appointed General Jaroslaw Mika for the next term as commander-in-chief of the Branches of the Armed Forces, informed the National Security Bureau (BBN). The handing over of the nomination will take place on Thursday.
“President of the Republic of Poland, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Andrzej Duda, on the basis of Art. 134 paragraph 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, has named General Jarosław Mika for the further term of General Commander of the Branches of the Armed Forces”, the BBN announced. In November last year, at the request of the head of the Ministry of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak, the president appointed Jarosław Mika as the highest ranking general in the Polish army. The handing over of the nomination by the president will take place on Thursday, in Belvedere.
