Celebration of the Polish community in the USA. The Pulaski Parade passed through the streets of New York

The 85th annual Pulaski Day Parade passed through the streets of New York today. The event was held under the slogan: “Marching with Heart, Soul & Love of Polonia”. The patriotic march was attended, among others, by the New York Club of “Gazeta Polska”.

“The parade in New York is the most important celebration of Poles and the Polish community in the United States of America,” Adrian Kubicki, Consul General in New York, told Polish Radio.

He also stated that thanks to this event, Poles could feel the unity of the community. The couple also has a message, both to the city’s residents and the authorities. It is about showing how numerous and strong the Polish community in New York is.

Polish orchestras, children from Polish schools, parishes, veterans, guests from Poland and members of New York’s “Gazeta Polska” Club walk the streets.

As Polish Radio 24 reminds us, since 1937, the New York Polish community has been honouring General Casimir Pulaski, the hero of the American Revolutionary War. The parade takes place on the first Sunday of October.
