    Estimated reading time: 1 minute

Joe Biden and Jens Stoltenberg will be present at the summit of the Bucharest Nine (B9) in Warsaw on Wednesday.

The meeting of the heads of state in the nine countries part of NATO’s eastern border – Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary – will start after 2 pm at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. They are anticipated to issue a joint statement after the summit.

On Tuesday, Andrzej Duda, the Polish president, discussed with Joe Biden and declared the visit of the US president to be “very significant and meaningful for the area,” and anticipated the summit to make fresh security proposals for Central and Eastern Europe.

Marcin Przydacz, an international relations counsel to President Duda, declared that the summit was a preparatory discussion for the NATO conference scheduled in Vilnius in July.
