The head of the National Security Bureau, Minister Paweł Soloch yesterday began a three-day visit to
Lithuania and Latvia. The main purpose of the meetings is to discuss bilateral Polish-Lithuanian and
Polish-Latvian cooperation in the context of the regional presence of the allied United States army
and the planned Defender Europe 2020 exercise.
On the first day of the visit, the Polish delegation will take part in consultations with the team of security advisors to the President of Lithuania, headed by Jonas Žukas. In Lithuania, Minister Paweł Soloch will also meet with the chairman of the Seimas Security and Defense Committee Dainius Gaižausasks, Chief of General Staff, Gen. Gintautas Zenkevičius; Deputy Minister of Defense, Vytautas Umbrasas and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Linas Linkevičius. During his visit to Latvia, Soloch will meet with the security advisor to the President of Latvia, Janis Kažocinš, foreign advisor Solveiga Silkalna, head of the President’s Chancellery Andris Teikmanis, security advisor to the Prime Minister of Latvia Maris Cepuritis, as well as with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Latvia Artis Pabriks.
