Due to lower interest in flights to Italy and South Korea, LOT Polish Airlines temporarily decided to reduce the number of flights from Warsaw to Milan and Seoul – the company reported today.
“Most flights to Milan and Venice will be served by smaller Embraer E170 and Embraer E175 aircraft, and larger aircraft will be diverted to other directions,” LOT informed. E170 aircraft can take up to 76 passengers, and E175 – up to 82 passengers. The carrier will reduce the frequency of flights between Warsaw and Milan. In the second half of March their number will be reduced from three to two flights a day. LOT flies to Venice once a day, seven days a week. “Single flights from Warsaw to Seoul have been canceled,” LOT reported. The carrier currently operates five flights a week on the Warsaw-Seoul route. LOT ensures that it monitors the coronavirus related situation on an ongoing basis. “Other flights take place according to the planned timetable” – LOT assures. The lower interest in flights to Italy and South Korea is a result of the outbreak of the coronavirus in these countries.
