Polish MPs criticize the government’s border security measures, demanding stricter controls and accountability from the Ministry of the Interior.
Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, criticized the government for allowing activists to operate in the buffer zone at the Belarusian border. He called for stricter measures to prevent illegal human trafficking. MPs plan to question the Ministry of the Interior about the involvement of activists and the response of the Minister Tomasz Siemoniak.
Call for Stronger Border Controls
Mariusz Błaszczak, Chairman of PiS, urged immediate action, including laying anti-personnel mines, to address the crisis. He criticized Donald Tusk’s government for failing to protect Polish interests and succumbing to EU pressures. Błaszczak emphasized the need for Poland to demand accountability from Germany over migrant transfers.
PiS MP Paweł Jabłoński highlighted the lack of communication within Tusk’s government. He stressed the need for border controls and questioned why Polish authorities allow organizations to assist in migrant smuggling. Jabłoński and his colleagues demand answers from the Ministry of the Interior regarding the facilitation of these illegal activities.
The MPs are pressing for an inquiry into the origin and number of migrants crossing Polish borders illegally. They accuse the Ministry of the Interior of compromising national security and failing to curb the pressure from illegal migration.
