The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued first-degree warnings for storms in the western part of Poland and heatwaves across much of the country.
First-degree storm warnings are in effect for the Warmian-Masurian, Podlaskie, Lublin, and parts of Mazovia, Świętokrzyskie, and Lesser Poland. Expected rainfall ranges from 20 to 35 mm, with wind gusts reaching up to 80 km/h. Hail is also possible in some areas. The warnings are active either from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM or from 1:00 PM to midnight, depending on the region.
Heatwave Alerts for Most of Poland
Second-degree heatwave warnings cover the Opole, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Łódź, Świętokrzyskie, Mazovia, Podlaskie, and Lublin provinces, as well as parts of Lubusz, Lower Silesia, Silesia, Greater Poland, Lesser Poland, and Subcarpathia. First-degree heat alerts have been issued for parts of Warmian-Masurian, West Pomeranian, Pomeranian, Greater Poland, Silesia, Lesser Poland, and Subcarpathia. The warnings are valid until 8:00 PM on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the location.
