    Flowers at the graves of the victims of the Smolensk plane crash

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński and the Speaker of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek went to the Military Powązki Cemetery, where they laid flowers and lit candles on the graves of the victims of the Smolensk catastrophe on April 10, 2010.

    11 years have passed since the Smolensk catastrophe, in which 96 people died, including President Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria Kaczyńska, the last president in exile Ryszard Kaczorowski, parliamentarians, military commanders, members of Donald Tusk’s government, social activists, representatives of the Katyn families.

    Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński together with a modest delegation, due to the epidemic, went to Powązki, where they laid flowers and lit candles on the graves of the victims of the Smolensk disaster.

    Saturday’s celebration of the anniversary of the Smolensk catastrophe began with a morning mass in the Warsaw seminary church for the victims of the catastrophe. Then, at Piłsudski Square, where there are monuments to President Lech Kaczyński and the Victims of the Smolensk Catastrophe, delegations laid wreaths.
