Leading the list is the Lobo variety (38%), followed by Szampion (30%), Jonagold and Ligol (25% each), Gala (22%), and Antonówka (20%). With 88% of respondents able to name their preferred apple variety, this study confirms the strong presence of apples in Polish households.
Regional Preferences and Consumption Patterns
Lobo remains a clear favorite in Poland’s northern and eastern regions, while Szampion is widely chosen by those focused on basic needs. Gala is especially popular among women, and Antonówka appeals to men and consumers with traditional tastes. Overall, apples are a staple, with most Poles consuming at least one apple per week.
