Usyk Retains Heavyweight World Titles in Riyadh Showdown

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk successfully defended his WBA, WBO, and WBC heavyweight world titles, defeating Britain’s Tyson Fury in a unanimous decision at a highly anticipated rematch in Riyadh. The judges scored the fight 116-112 in favor of Usyk, marking his second consecutive victory over Fury.

The bout was closely contested, but Usyk’s precision and resilience secured him the win. Fury, 36, suffered his second straight professional defeat, following a record of 34 victories and one draw. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Usyk maintained his perfect career record with 23 wins in 23 fights.

This fight followed Usyk’s historic achievement in May, when he became the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000. Although he relinquished his IBF title to focus on this rematch, the Ukrainian continues to reign as one of the most dominant figures in boxing today.
