President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the formation of an international legion of territorial defence of Ukraine. After one day, several thousand calls were received from foreigners who wanted to fight for the defence of Ukraine and Europe.
“Ukraine is forming an “international” foreign legion for volunteers from abroad,” the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video published on his website said yesterday.

The Legion will operate as part of the Territorial Defence Forces. Zelensky said that those who want to fight against the Russian occupiers and the defence of world security are invited to join him.
“This will be an important demonstration of your support for our country,” he said.
As it turns out, several thousand notifications have already been received.
“We already have several thousand declarations from foreigners who want to join the resistance against the Russian occupiers and protect global security from the Putin regime,” said Anna Malyar, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
