The exploding price of oil is driving up fuel prices. We pay more than 7 PLN/l for gasoline, and at the end of March and beginning of April it may even be 8 PLN/l – said the analyst of e-petrol Jakub Bogucki.
“While diesel prices are already above 7 PLN, petrol prices were still below that limit. In March/April it can cost up to 8 PLN,” says Jakub Bogucki.
In his view, this is encouraged by the possible imposition of sanctions by the United States in the form of a waiver of Russian oil purchases and by the threat of such a decision by European countries, which would lead to a further increase in oil prices on world markets.
Russian oil exports to Europe and the United States could limit up to 4.3 million barrels per day. According to Reuters news agency, Russia ships between 4 and 5 million barrels of crude oil and 2 to 3 million barrels of petroleum products per day. Russian oil accounts for about 8% of global deliveries.
“Already today, some financial institutions (e.g., JP Morgan Chase) estimate an oil price of up to 180 to 200 dollars per barrel in 2022,” Jakub Bogacki stressed.
