A Devastating Poll for Donald Tusk and His Government

In April, 40 percent of respondents expressed a negative opinion of the government. However, that is not the entirety of the findings. According to the survey conducted by the Public Opinion Research Center (CBOS), as many as 51 percent of respondents declared dissatisfaction with the fact that Donald Tusk holds the office of Prime Minister.

Public Discontent with Tusk’s Government Grows Amid Declining Support

The survey, carried out by CBOS in April, reveals that negative sentiment toward the government continues to prevail. Currently, 34 percent of Poles declare support for the government—a decline of 2 percentage points compared to the previous measurement. Conversely, 40 percent of respondents report a negative attitude toward the government, representing an increase of 2 percentage points. Meanwhile, 22 percent of those surveyed describe their stance as indifferent—a decrease of 1 percentage point.

Respondents were also asked to evaluate the government’s performance under Prime Minister Tusk. According to the results, 37 percent rated the government’s performance positively (a decrease of 1 percentage point), while 50 percent evaluated it negatively (the same as in the previous month). Thirteen percent of respondents expressed no opinion on the matter (an increase of 1 percentage point).

Majority Doubt Government’s Economic Vision and Disapprove of Tusk’s Leadership

When asked whether the current government’s policies offer an opportunity for improvement in economic policy, 36 percent responded affirmatively (a decrease of 1 percentage point), whereas 53 percent answered negatively (an increase of 1 percentage point). Eleven percent of those surveyed had no opinion on the matter, consistent with the previous survey.

The poll further indicates that 37 percent of respondents are pleased that Donald Tusk is serving as Prime Minister (a decrease of 1 percentage point), while a majority—51 percent—express dissatisfaction with this fact (an increase of 1 percentage point). Twelve percent remain undecided, with no change compared to the prior measurement.

The study was conducted between April 3 and April 13, 2025, on a sample of 1,030 individuals, using the following data collection methods: 65.5 percent via CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing), 19.9 percent via CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing), and 14.6 percent via CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing).
