Robert Bąkiewicz, the initiator of the Border Defense Movement (Ruch Obrony Granic), published a video on social media showing a German police officer in… a vehicle of the Polish Border Guard. Why is this happening? “The Germans are smuggling migrants into Poland, German police officers are involved in it, and a German officer is guarding the Polish Border Guard, which should be defending the Polish border. This is a farce,” he comments in the video.
The Border Defense Movement, initiated a few months ago, is gaining momentum. It is a nationwide civic initiative founded by Robert Bąkiewicz. The goal of the movement is to defend Poland’s borders against mass illegal migration and all the threats associated with it. Activists from across Poland are getting involved. And their numbers are growing. Some travel hundreds of kilometers daily to patrol the border at night.
In recent days, the movement has reported numerous interventions. For example, last night—four illegal migrants from Eritrea attempted to enter Poland. The engaged activists stood in their way. Thus, on a railway bridge in Gubin, the first citizen’s arrest of a group of foreigners took place.
A German Police Officer Guarding Polish Officers?!
Yesterday afternoon, Robert Bąkiewicz published a video on social media showing an unusual incident that occurred near one of the border crossings between Poland and Germany. As he reports—a German police officer was sitting in a vehicle belonging to the Polish Border Guard. For what purpose? That’s the question.
“Here we have a Border Guard vehicle, there are border guards and police. And in the car sits a German police officer. A guardian angel or a watchdog guarding the Poles, to do what…? The Germans are smuggling migrants into Poland, German police officers are taking part in it, and a German officer is guarding the Polish Border Guard, which should be defending the Polish border. This is a comedy. Tusk’s state, Siemoniak’s ministry—it’s a mockery of Poland, of Poles, and of the Border Guard. Of Polish officers. It’s a disgrace,” says Bąkiewicz in the video.
And he adds: “We will not allow them to turn this place into a second Berlin. We will not allow this to become a second Paris. The Germans will not tell us what to do. And officers—stand against this—because how long can they keep spitting on the Polish uniform? Surely, you have some honor too.”
