A Government Without Tusk? Poles Have Spoken. Who Has the Worst Opinion of the Prime Minister?

Nearly 38 percent of Poles believe that the government would function better without Donald Tusk as prime minister. This is according to a survey conducted by the SW Research agency.

The study was commissioned by Rzeczpospolita. According to 37.9 percent of respondents, the government would perform better if the leader of the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) were not at its helm.

In contrast, 30.8 percent of respondents disagreed with this view, while 31.3 percent had no opinion on the matter.

Most Critical Among the Youngest

Men are more critical of the current prime minister. As many as 44 percent of male respondents support a change in leadership. Among women, 33 percent would prefer a different head of government.

The most negative opinions about Tusk come from people aged 24 and under. In this age group, 49.7 percent believe the government would work better under a different prime minister. Only 16.5 percent of respondents in this group held the opposite view.

Tusk fares better among those aged 50 and above. In this demographic, 35.8 percent said the Civic Platform leader is fulfilling his duties, while 33.6 percent held the opposing opinion.

The survey was conducted between July 22 and 23 on a sample of 800 internet users aged 18 and older.
