A speeding car crashed into a pole displaying fuel prices today in Ruda Śląska, Silesian Voivodeship. The driver was seriously injured.
Traffic was disrupted for more than 2 hours
This morning, there was an accident on the cross-city road in Ruda Śląska, at the exit to the petrol station. The driver of an Iveco truck, driving from the direction of Katowice, ran into a Renault passenger car, whose driver, most likely missed the exit, wanted to stop at the edge of the road.
The driver and passenger of the car were injured in the accident. An air ambulance was called to the scene, which transported the injured woman to the hospital.
For more than 2 hours, the police investigation team worked on the spot. Police officers initially directed the cars through the exit to a nearby interchange, and then through one of the cleared lanes. Traffic was fully restored just after 10:20 a.m.
