“A full year has already passed since false charges were brought against me regarding my alleged involvement in the declassification of files concerning defense plans along the ‘Vistula line’ (and later the use of these materials in the film ‘Reset’), by an illegally appointed, politicized prosecutor, Lt. Col. Marcin Maksjan!”, wrote Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz on X. He added that “after a year, absolutely nothing is happening in the case, even though since August 2025 it has been in court!”.
In May last year, the prosecutor’s office, still headed by Adam Bodnar, brought charges against former head of the Ministry of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak for exceeding his authority. As Minister of National Defence, he declassified in July 2023 and publicly disclosed in September 2023 excerpts from the Polish Armed Forces Operational Plan WARTA-00101. The plan, dating back to 2011, concerned the method of defending against a potential Russian attack. Błaszczak revealed at the time that Civic Platform (PO), during its time in government, had planned in the event of an invasion to defend the country along the Vistula line, effectively conceding half of the country to the attacker.
Shocking facts were also presented in the series “Reset”. The indictment was also expected to include the co-creator of the series, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, former head of the National Security Bureau.
According to the prosecutor’s office, “acting with the intent of obtaining personal benefit, Mariusz Błaszczak used excerpts of strategic-level operational planning documents taken out of context in order to publicly discredit political opponents and thereby act in favor of his political formation, i.e. the party and electoral committee Law and Justice (PiS)“.
Cenckiewicz: They will lose everything, just like in the Voivodeship Administrative Court and the Supreme Administrative Court!
Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz published a social media post in which he recalled what he described as politically motivated actions by the prosecutor’s office.
“A full year has already passed since false charges were brought against me regarding my alleged involvement in the declassification of files concerning defense plans along the ‘Vistula line’ (and later the use of these materials in the film ‘Reset’), by an illegally appointed, politicized prosecutor, Lt. Col. Marcin Maksjan!”, he wrote in today’s post on X.
He added that “in the collected ‘evidence’, it is difficult to even find my name, let alone any proof of guilt”.
“After a year, absolutely nothing is happening in the case, even though since August 2025 it has been in court!”, Prof. Cenckiewicz stressed.
He emphasized that “this political operation by Tusk, Kosiniak-Kamysz, Stróżyk and Maksjan, using the special services and the prosecutor’s office, is merely a brutal form of repression, which has not frightened me for a moment nor demobilized me in the fight against the current lawlessness. New repressions and charges fabricated by this unlawful regime will not change that”.
