    Bonds break popularity records

    Retail bonds have tripled their share of total government issuance this year. The reason for such high interest is practically zero interest rates on bank deposits, which until now were the most popular form of savings investment chosen by the Poles. However, with inflation exceeding 4 per cent, keeping money in the bank means a real loss. Increasingly well-paid and well-off consumers are therefore looking for safe havens for their financial surpluses.

    An unusual guest in a Zakopane

    On Tuesday afternoon, the District Court in Sosnowiec has decided to arrest for three months 41-year-old Tomasz M., who admitted that last Saturday he had kidnapped, drove to Sosnowiec and then killed 11-year-old Sebastian from Katowice.     PKN ORLEN opened a modern Research and Development Centre in Płock. One of the most important investments for the future of the company was carried out under the Petrochemical Development Program. The project, valued at approximately PLN 184 million, fits into the ORLEN2030 strategy assuming the increased commitment to research, development and innovation. For PKN ORLEN it is an important step towards more effective development of new technologies and products, building its own know-how, and obtaining patents for innovative solutions. In developing innovative projects, the full potential of Polish science will be used. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister Maciej Małecki, who read out a letter from Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin addressed to the participants of the event.
