 This morning greeted us with another success of the Polish national team in Tokyo. 

3D printed prostheses for mutilated dogs.  It is created by a student from Wrocław  

Maciej Szczepański, a final-year veterinary student at Wrocław University of Life Sciences, is preparing prostheses for two dog patients. They are 3-year-old Sonia, who was hit by a car and lost part of her back paw, and 8-year-old Leto, whose front paw was run over by a train.

Last year, the local self-governments, where we operate, received over 200 million PLN directly from fees and taxes - said Robert Perkowski, the vice-president for operations of PGNiG, on Friday in Gdynia. He calculated that over 10 years the number of payments to local government budgets amounted to PLN 2.3 billion.

Gold, silver and bronze were won today by Polish Paralympic athletes in Tokyo.  Róża Kozakowska was unrivalled in throwing the pole vault.  Second place in the 100m run in the T47 class was won by Michal Derus, and the bronze medal in the ball push was won by Lech Stoltman.

International Dog Day 2021. When is the “man's best friends” holiday?

"Man's best friends", as dogs are called not without reason, have the opportunity to celebrate up to twice a year. One of them is Dog Day celebrated since 2007, initiated by the Polish magazine "Przyjaciel Pies". The holiday is on July 1, and its timing is not coincidental: in the summer, many dogs end up in shelters because their owners often don't know how to take care of the animals when they go on vacation. On this occasion, shelters and pro-animal organizations organize adoption and assistance actions at their own expense, trying to raise awareness about the treatment of dogs in society.

PKN Orlen's CEO Daniel Obajtek stressed that GE is not only "an innovative company with gigantic experience in the power industry in many markets around the world", but also owns manufacturing facilities and creates supply chains in Poland.
