3.68 million Polish workers, including 2.16 million women, face risks from AI job disruptions, especially in specialized professions.
According to a report from the Polish Economic Institute (PIE), 3.68 million Poles work in professions most vulnerable to AI-driven changes. This includes 2.16 million women, particularly in specialized fields like finance, law, and programming. These jobs are most susceptible to automation and task simplification.
Gender Disparity in AI’s Job Impact
Women are more exposed to AI disruptions than men. Despite fewer women in the workforce overall, they represent 28% of employees in the 20 most affected professions. Their higher education levels and less frequent engagement in physical labor make them more likely to work in AI-impacted roles.
Sectoral Variations in AI Exposure
The agriculture, hospitality, and construction sectors show the least exposure to AI, while the financial, insurance, and IT sectors are most at risk. As AI technologies advance, automation and data analysis are expected to reshape these industries.
