    Aleksandra Mirosław triumphs in Speed Climbing World Cup in Jakarta

    Polish climber Aleksandra Mirosław emerged victorious in the Speed Climbing World Cup held in Jakarta, showcasing her dominance in the discipline. In the final, Mirosław defeated Desak Made Rita Kasuma Dewi, the representative from the host nation.

    Aleksandra Kałucka finished third on the podium. This event marked the second competition of its kind this year, and the 29-year-old Mirosław, the world record holder in speed climbing, also claimed victory in Seoul last week. She has now won an impressive six consecutive rounds of the World Cup she participated in.

    A two-time world and European champion in this specialty, Mirosław secured first place in the Saturday eliminations and continued her impressive performance the following day. In the semifinals, she outperformed Aleksandra Kałucka, another Polish climber. Natalia Kałucka, also representing Poland, achieved sixth place overall, while Patrycja Chudziak and Anna Brożek claimed the 15th and 25th positions, respectively.

    The upcoming World Cup event in this discipline will take place in Salt Lake City from May 19th to 21st. The highlight of the season will be the World Championships in Bern in the second half of August. In addition to competing for medals, the Swiss event will serve as an Olympic qualification, with the top two climbers securing their spots in the prestigious sporting event.
