On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, a meeting may take place between Polish President Karol Nawrocki and U.S. leader Donald Trump, presidential minister Marcin Przydacz announced.
From September 21 to 24, 2025 (Sunday–Wednesday), President Karol Nawrocki, accompanied by First Lady Marta Nawrocka, will visit the United States to participate in the general debate of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
At a Thursday press conference, Przydacz said that in his address Nawrocki will focus on security issues and present Poland’s perspective on the future of international relations and the global order. “He will also speak about regional challenges and the fundamental principles that are important from his perspective,” the head of the Presidential International Policy Bureau said.
Meeting with Trump
He explained that on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings will take place in various formats. “There will be direct contacts, also with the most important figures of the diplomatic world, including—I am convinced—direct contact with President (of the U.S.) Donald Trump,” Przydacz said.
The presidential minister was also asked whether Nawrocki would meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Przydacz replied that the hall where the UN meets is, in fact, quite small and all leaders are present there, so interactions between politicians are natural. “So certainly, at least for a brief exchange of views and remarks, such contact with the President of Ukraine may also take place there,” he said.
