Mr. Dariusz – a business associate of Father Michał Olszewski – was supposed to testify for the defense in the case concerning the “Profeto” foundation. But the Internal Security Agency (ABW) once again entered his home (despite a previous search and the investigation having been closed). Mr. Dariusz suffered a heart attack, was taken to the hospital, and is now scheduled for surgery. Attorney Krzysztof Wąsowski speaks of harassment of witnesses.
Attorney Wąsowski reported that yesterday, December 5, at six in the morning, an ABW team entered his client’s home. “They closed the investigation regarding ‘Profeto’ and the Justice Fund. They sent all the files to the court, and simultaneously they are conducting some other investigation – no one knows what it concerns – in which they are effectively harassing witnesses who testified or will testify in the ‘Profeto’ case, and who happen to be defense witnesses. This is simply an unprecedented scandal,” Wąsowski told Niezalezna.pl.
Another Search and a Witness in the Hospital
The lawyer noted on social media that the witnesses have become the target of baseless actions. Wąsowski intends to demand explanations in this matter.
“The day before yesterday they entered the home of Father Olszewski’s father, and yesterday they entered the home of Father Olszewski’s business associate – Mr. Dariusz. He is a supplier of computer equipment for ‘Profeto’. That equipment ended up in the ‘Archipelago – Islands Free from Violence’, and they are now pretending to search for that equipment at the homes of defense witnesses,” Wąsowski said.
“Mr. Darek suffered a heart attack, and at this rate Father Olszewski will have one too if they frighten anyone else,” the attorney concluded. “The defense is outraged; this is unacceptable. The trial of Father Olszewski is scheduled for January, and in December such things are happening to the defense witnesses,” he added.
