Unfortunately, we will also limit visits, because behind all this there is an announcement of a raid by special services, possibly the Internal Security Agency (ABW), possibly the prosecutor’s office on the station. There may be an attempt to secure equipment, shut us down, or gain access to confidential documentation. Therefore, I have activated a special alert and we are increasing vigilance,” said the President of TV Republika, Tomasz Sakiewicz.
TV Republika was the first to report on Sunday that former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro had left Hungary and traveled to the United States. The politician will now serve as a political commentator for the station, which has stirred investigators. Today – through the spokesperson of the National Prosecutor’s Office, prosecutor Przemysław Nowak – it was announced that “verification activities are being carried out to determine whether other individuals assisted the suspect Zbigniew Ziobro in escaping and avoiding criminal liability, thereby obstructing the investigation into the Justice Fund”.
Earlier, Roman Giertych wrote about the alleged “assistance in escape”, pointing to Tomasz Sakiewicz. The President of TV Republika addressed the matter on air.
“We must draw conclusions. Behind the actions of the illegal prosecutor’s office are specific threats, supported by statements from public figures and media mercenaries. Yesterday, Roman Giertych demanded a search, perhaps even my arrest,” he began.

He repeated that the station would increase its security measures.
He also referred to Ziobro’s new role at TV Republika: “the very fact that we employ someone as a partisan political commentator, who signs with his name and political party, results in an immediate investigation being launched against us. The situation is reaching a level dangerously close to Belarus.”
